Twelve necklaces, twelve rings, twelve (pairs of) earrings.

What these 36 works have in common is their origin, coming from a driven maker, an artist who’s fevered passion is embodied in the personal handling of materials, in his arrangements of splintered, broken crystal with delicate gold work, and his combinations of the precious with the banal- handling an iron nail or washer, with the same reverence as the gemstone that adorns the same necklace, ring or earring.  It is no easy task to create a piece of jewelry that will simultaneously present / confront us with the immense beauty and overwhelming darkness that life gives us, yet most every work by Philip Sajet does just that.

The work of Sajet can be found in important public collections worldwide, including but not limited to: Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, Musée des arts décoratifs", Paris, Royal College of Art, London, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and most recently, Ornamentum facilitated the acquisition of a necklace by Philip Sajet into the Corning Museum of Glass.  Click to read more.
