The balls necklace is made of organic gems, gold, porcelain, tigers eye, silver, high carat gold hand made beads, and 19th century watch parts. All of these elements were worn as decorations on watch chains and celebrate the many and varied artisinal techniques of jewelers and lapidaries. Techniques include faceted gems, wedgewood porcelain, granulation, damascening, and repousse to name a few.
