Jewel 102 is a tiara made of Chinese silk, Indian Klamkari cloth, silk fringe, satin, handkerchief silk, French carved horn, electrotype cameo c. 1840, horse harness sulfide, carved box wood, celluloid, composite stone, carved wood, river pebble, polymer cameo, quartz, sea shell, agate, micro mosaic of Shelly’s tomb, dendritic agate, iron, and velvet.
This piece celebrates the colors of fall and includes a changeable Art Noveau French carved horn feather. Many of the pieces are decorative arts elements, such as the lion head which would have been an embellishment on furniture, as well as various antique jewelry parts.
