I wanted to make this piece for a very long time. The initial drawing was pinned to my wall for years. Finally the time came when I felt comfortable addressing this complex structure.
This is a poetic piece. Maybe it has to do with climate change, but in my heart it is a sombre piece about comfort and love. It was initially going to be named “Showered with Diamonds”, unfortunately I had to substitute. It reminded me of the Verlaine poem: “Il pleut dans mon coeur , comme il pleure sur la ville”.
When you pick the piece, the rain drops make a lovely and soothing sound.
