"Do all Finns hibernate?"
The jewellery artist group Hibernate´s book will invite you to the visual world of Hibernate. It presents the work of the artists and the projects done together, and as importantly the scenery the artists live in and the environment the work arises from. The invited writes in the book are Päivi Ruutiainen, PhD, art critic (FI) and Karen Pontoppidan, professor, Academy of Fine Arts, Munich (DE). Ruutiainen´s text desribes the contemporary jewellery scene in Finland since 70´s and the Hibernate´s role in it. Pontoppidan analyses the work of the each group members. The graphic designer is Kimmo Heikkilä, who has created several jewellery related katalogues and other visually impressibe printed matters.
