Dallas Museum of Art (TX) commissions David Clarke artwork.

The Dallas Museum of Art recently unveiled Family Matters, a major artwork by silversmith David Clarke, commissioned for the museum.

The commissioned work was developed together with Sarah Schleuning, the Margot B. Perot Senior Curator of Decorative Arts and Design and interim chief curator, in recognition of the DMA's renowned collection of silver.  During several trips to Dallas, Clarke asked patrons to donate an item of silver with sentimental value yet wouldn't be passed down to further generations.  It is with these objects that David created Family Matters, a piece that Clarke considers to be his best to date.
